What to verify before exporting a 3D QR
The builder can validate the QR matrix and report measurable geometry, but the export is only the start of the manufacturing workflow.
Keep the payload stable
Changing the URL, WiFi details or other payload can change QR density and therefore physical module size.
Watch module size
Use overall model size together with the matrix density instead of assuming one millimeter width fits every QR.
Inspect the actual object
Check Raised or Recessed geometry, base thickness and any template features in the 3D preview before export.
Verify in the slicer
Confirm final dimensions and layer paths, then scan the finished physical print with a real camera.
How this workflow works
A 3D-first QR workflow
A normal QR generator stops at PNG or SVG. This tool continues into physical geometry: choose the QR content, tune colors and error correction, select an object template, then set the dimensions that matter for 3D printing. The model updates while you work so the visual result and the print parameters stay connected.
Designed around physical constraints
The same digital QR can behave very differently after it becomes plastic. ModuQR tracks module size, base thickness, relief or engraving depth, quiet zone and component topology. ScanSafe is guidance rather than a print guarantee, but it gives you useful warnings before the model reaches the slicer.
Export for your own workflow
Download STL for broad slicer compatibility or 3MF when you want richer model packaging. A technical model report is also available so you can review dimensions, topology results, ScanSafe status and print-profile information alongside the exported geometry.

Can I generate the 3D QR code without an account?
Yes. The current generator works in the browser and does not require an account to create or export a model.
Does ScanSafe guarantee that every physical print will scan?
No. ScanSafe checks digital and geometric conditions and provides conservative print guidance, but real results still depend on printer calibration, material, slicer settings, surface quality and scanning conditions.
Can I export both STL and 3MF?
Yes. The builder supports STL and 3MF export, with export preflight checks before the files are generated.
